INDIVIDUAL

INDIVIDUAL

We offer individual counseling with a focus of treatment in anxiety, depression, chronic stress, grief, PTSD, life transitions, ADHD, and trauma.  Our therapists utilize a variety of techniques and interventions based on each individual's unique story and context. We believe in the importance of relationships and the innate need and desire for people to be in connection with others.  We believe the therapeutic relationship is very important in the healing process and create space and safety for this to happen. We also work from the perspective that when trauma occurs in relationships, healing must take place in the context of relationships.  We utilize attachment and trauma approaches in the therapeutic relationship.

We have experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Theraplay, Trust Based Relational Intervention, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).

RELATIONSHIP

COUPLES / RELATIONSHIP

We are intricately connected and woven to others, and couples counseling can help couples proactively develop healthy levels of connection.  Couples counseling can also be helpful when couples identify some unhealthy patterns that have developed in their relational context. We work with couples to identify healthy ways to support and interact in their relationship.  We target communication, healthy coping, boundaries, and appropriate expectations. We use materials from the Gottman Institute to improve connection and communication in the relationship.

FAMILY

FAMILY

Behaviors and symptoms do not exist in isolation.  In doing family work, you may come in as an entire family to identify and develop healthy family dynamics and levels of communication.  Parents may also come in to identify healthy strategies to best support the child or children in their home, assisting them in becoming the best versions of themselves.
